Canada’s next federal election is scheduled for Monday, April 28, 2025.
A few things to get you started…
- Polls will be open on voting day from 7am to 7pm.
- Advance voting will take place Friday, April 18 to Monday, April 21 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day.
- For information on voting by mail, see the Elections Canada Voting By Mail page and apply as soon as possible.
- Voter information cards will be delivered by April 14, but you can check your riding, voting place, and other information at any time at Elections Canada.
- What ID do you need to vote? Check that out here.
As for the ridings, remember that a recent redistricting might have changed your riding (or even just its name). You can see local information for our Vancouver Island districts, including maps, voting locations, past results, and candidates (once they’re officially registered) at:
And, if you’d rather do some looking around on Wikipedia for past results, defunct ridings, and any number of things related to that, a good starting point is probably their Electoral Districts In Greater Victoria page. Just make sure you’re looking at federal and not provincial pages 🙂
Now get out there and vote, eh?
