Posh Coat is a wardrobe full of leather, faux fur and silk, paired with your favourite flared jeans and Chuck Taylors. The band has rightfully grabbed attention as an up-and-coming force in the Victoria music scene and are drawing an ever-growing crowd of dedicated fans with each performance. They tenaciously tap into a range of influences and transform their musical ideas into fresh new modern rock tunes, all the while bringing powerful yet emotional energy with a soulful infusion of blues.
Posh Coat’s momentum is building; they have found their unique identity, voice, and flair. Their driving and laid-back styles create a framework for their stories which capture the essence of the everyday and pinpoint the beauty in the mundane. Latest news
We came 2nd in the “Play at Shakedown” voting competition, and as a result we were offered a performance slot on the Flats Stage at 7:50pm on Saturday June 29th, 2024.
On July 1st, 2024, we are playing the main stage at Victoria’s Canada Day event, set time TBD.
On July 3rd, 2024, we are playing the kick-off show for the Eventide Music Series, presented by CFUV 101.9 FM and the City of Victoria. Set time TBD.
On July 13th, 2024, we are playing at the Commons in Royal Bay for the Colwood Music in the Park series. Set time is 5:30 – 7:30pm.
On August 11th, 2024, we are playing the opening set at Phillips Backyard.
We are in the process of recording/mixing a new project. We’ll have a single to release during the month of July 2024!
